Mark B. Keely

Mark Keely was elected to the NMC Board of Trustees in November 2024 and serves on the Building & Site Committee, as well as the Fellows Nominating and Policy Committees. He is a small business owner focused on real estate development and management, with a strong background in hospitality and property management.

Mark first came to northern Michigan in 1994 as an entrepreneur, opening his first business at the age of nineteen on the shores of Torch Lake. He attended NMC in the mid-1990s before earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University.

In addition to his role at NMC, Mark serves as Vice Chair of the board at Traverse Health Clinic, reflecting his deep commitment to community service. He is passionate about fostering economic growth, supporting local businesses, and enhancing opportunities for students in the region.

A longtime resident of downtown Traverse City, Mark enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and engaging with the local community. He has two children, Lucas and Isabelle.
