Program Outcomes
The Practical Nursing program at Northwestern Michigan College strives to provide quality educational programs through continuous program assessment. Faculty review all program outcomes on a regular basis and make adjustments as needed. The following student achievement data are used to assess the PN program outcomes.
NCLEX-PN Pass Rates: The goal of the nursing faculty is to be at or above 80% as reported by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) for students who take the National Council Licensure Exam-PN (NCLEX) for the first time.

Program Completion Rates: The goal of the nursing faculty is for at least 70% of the NMC graduates of the PN program to graduate within 150% of the program length. This equates to 3 semesters once they enter the nursing program.

Job Placement Rates: The goal of the nursing faculty is for at least 80% of the NMC graduates of the PN program who seek employment in nursing will be successful.
