Criminal Justice Program Requirements
NMC Code 706
Students completing this program will receive an Associate in Science and Arts degree from Northwestern Michigan College. With a focus of 24 credits in Criminal Justice, the student will gain career opportunities at the local, state and national level in criminal justice; the profession is turning to college-educated personnel. It is recommended that students wishing to transfer to a 4-year college review the transfer guides for the colleges of choice since transfer requirements may differ between institutions.

Electives: 4 additional credit hours required from courses of levels 100 or above for a total of at least 60 credit hours (minimum degree requirement).
Notes:
- To graduate at NMC, 60 credit hours with a 2.0 or higher cumulative grade point average must be achieved.
- There is also a Math competency requirement: completion of MTH 120 - Mathematical Explorations or higher.
- There is an English competency requirement, but it is obtained with English Composition - ENG 111.
