Mission

Serving the NMC community as partners in teaching and learning, we:

  • Connect learners to useful information, new perspectives and each other
  • Create a safe, comfortable and inclusive environment
  • Curate relevant, authoritative and accessible collections
  • Collaborate with instructors and students to develop information literacy across disciplines

Library History

Northwestern Michigan College was established in the spring of 1951, with the first classes beginning that fall. From the beginning, the library has been an integral part of NMC's history. Read more about the history of the library.
