Traverse City is located on the 45th Parallel (midway between the North Pole and the equator) which provides us with four distinct seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Our proximity to Lake Michigan moderates temperature extremes while providing average annual snowfall of 125-145 inches (3.1-3.6 meters).
