March 16, 2020 - Update to all students
UPDATED MARCH 16
Dear NMC students - Continuing our efforts to keep you informed and updated during the COVID-19 outbreak, we are writing with five college reminders. All of the following actions are undertaken to prioritize your health and safety while attempting to minimize the disruption to learning. Thank you for your attention.
- Shift to distance learning starts today: You should receive an initial communication from your instructors by the close of business today, Monday, March 16. You should receive finalized plans for course delivery by close of business Friday, March 20.
- NMC’s campus buildings are closed to the general public. Students, including University Center students, are welcome to access buildings as needed, along with employees. The only food service available is in East Hall.
- The Student Services departments of NMC are available to help students with their questions. Students should call or email to receive assistance. We can determine the best way to meet your needs, whether by phone or through scheduling an online meeting.
- Many on-campus events have been canceled or postponed. Find a list of the latest cancellations here.
- The library has a limited supply of Chromebooks available for student checkout.
Please go to nmc.edu/coronavirus for the very latest updates during this time of rapid change. Thank you.
