Lobdell’s serves as a working laboratory for Great Lakes Culinary Institute students. The 90-seat restaurant overlooks beautiful Grand Traverse Bay and is open to the public for lunches, dinners and special events throughout the year. It is named in honor of longtime NMC supporters Wayne and Terry Lobdell.
Lunch Service
Dates: February 5 through April 23 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Reservation times: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Lobdell's will be closed during the week of spring break.
World Cuisine Series
World Cuisine events provide our students experience with small plate prix fixe menu service while exploring cuisines and cultures from around the world.
Lunch service consists of 3 courses that includes an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. Dinner service consists of 4 courses that includes an appetizer, soup/salad, a main course, dessert and a glass of wine or beer.
Dates:
- Thursday, February 13: Italy
- Thursday, February 27: Lebanon
- Thursday, March 13: Spain
Reservation times:
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Dinner: 5:45–6:45 p.m.
Price:
- Lunch: $35 plus tax & gratuity
- Dinner: $55 plus tax & gratuity

Lobdell's opens for Spring!
Lobdell's reservations open to the public on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The restaurant will open for lunches Wednesday, Feb. 5 and will serve lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesday through April 23. Lobdell's will be closed the week of spring break (March 24–30).
