On-Campus Computer Access (The Novell Network)
Students can access on-campus computers for email, Microsoft Office products, Internet access, and many other course-related applications.
All computers at NMC are part of a local area network (LAN). When you start an NMC computer you are asked by the Novell networking software to log in. This ensures that only authorized users can access the network, and it restricts each user’s access to only his or her files. No one else on the network has access to your files. Students may access most Library Research Databases as well as their “Q:” drive (a student’s file storage space on the NMC network) once they have logged in to an on-campus computer. Access to the "Q:" drive and the Library Research Databases is also available off-campus using the NMC ID and Password.
If you need assistance with logging in to on-campus computers, first visit the NMC ID page, and then contact the NMC ID Help Line at 995-3020 if you are still experiencing difficulties.
