    The Northwestern Michigan College Board of Trustees has conferred the college's highest honor to Barbara and Chuck Benson, Louise Hagerty, and Terry and Wayne Lobdell. Each has been named an "NMC Fellow."

    TRAVERSE CITY, MI - Featuring aircraft from the National Cherry Festival Air Show, Northwestern Michigan College's fourth annual Fly-In and Pancake Breakfast will be held from 7:30 - 11 a.m. Friday, July 4 at the aviation hangar on NMC's Aero Park Campus, 2550 Aero Park Drive.

  • At the Dennos - Edward Weston: A million-dollar photo
    When Sotheby's, the noted auction house in New York City, sold a small black-and-white photograph by Edward Weston for $1.6 million earlier this spring, it was one of only three known prints in existence - until the Dennos Museum Center revealed that a fourth print also resides as part of the museum's permanent collection.

    The Dennos Museum Center is sponsoring a tour of the Canadian Arctic in August or September 2009 in partnership with Adventure Canada Tours. Terry Tarnow will present a travelogue on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at 4:00 pm in the Dutmers Theatre.

    The Northwestern Michigan College Barbecue served more than 9,000 people on Sunday, bringing the total number of people served in the event's 53-year history to more than half a million.

    The NMC Foundation this morning announced that its Annual Community Campaign has eclipsed previous records. The campaign, which is a major source of scholarships for NMC students, this week passed its largest goal ever -- $330,000.

    A laptop belonging to a SunGard employee was stolen on March 13, 2008 on a college campus in New York. The laptop contained personal information for 1,611 NMC students and employees from March 2003.
