The Library of Michigan's 24-hour, "anytime, anywhere" e-library connects users with the information they need for business, school, health, recreation, and all things Michigan. Just use your Michigan Driver's license number to get access!

Through MeL, Michigan residents have access to:

Osterlin is offering two different levels of free classes. Classes will focus on finding better-quality resources doing research through MeL.

Users who can answer yes to one of the following questions might want to skip to the intermediate class:

  • Can you search an online library catalog
  • Can you use an electronic index

Users who are beginning web surfers will be served by the “basic” course.

Dates for the basic searching class are:

  • Monday 6/30: 8-10 a.m
  • Wednesday 7/2: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Wednesday 7/2: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Friday 7/18: 1-3 p.m.

Dates for the intermediate class are:

  • Wednesday 7/9: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Wednesday 7/9: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Monday 7/14: 8-10 a.m.
  • Friday 7/25: 1-3 p.m.
