Career & Majors Fair 2026
NMC’s 20th annual Career & Majors Fair is returning to the Great Lakes Campus! The 2026 NMC Career & Majors Fair will promote employers seeking talented individuals and NMC's academic areas; grouping employers with faculty and staff to showcase how NMC academic pathways can lead to employment opportunities in our region.
In addition to career seekers and students deciding on an educational and career path, this career fair will have an emphasis on the Sixty by 30 Initiatives and Michigan Reconnect — promoting continued education for degree seeking adults looking for better employment opportunities.
NMC's Career & Majors Fair 2026 will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at NMC's Great Lakes Campus in partnership with Northwest Michigan Works and Networks Northwest.
The annual event is free and open to the public.

-
Was The Fair In A New Location In 2025? What About 2026?
- Yes! The 2025 Career Fair expanded in many ways, including to a new location at the Park Place Hotel & Conference Center in downtown Traverse City. For 2026 our Career & Majors Fair will return to NMC's Great Lakes Campus.
-
What Else Made The 2025 Fair Different?
- The fair showcased NMC program pathways while also continuing to offer regional employment opportunities.
- This not only gave current NMC students and community members opportunities looking for careers, but also prospective NMC students and those still deciding on their career path.
- This year's event featured more employers then previous years!
-
should I come even if I'm not actively looking for a job/ to go back to school?
- Yes! The fair is a great way to practice your professional communication skills, to see what jobs are available in your field, and to explore other career paths that are out there. It is not every day you can meet a business owner or HR rep in person, so we encourage you to network!
- Headshots were offered again this year for free to participants by Karuna Photo.
-
How Do I Know Who Will Be In Attendance?
- We keep an up-to-date list of employers that are attending on our website so you can plan in advance.
