In Spring 1997, I graduated from NMC with AA majoring in pre-med.
I married fellow classmate and college sweetheart, Mark Chemacki in 1998. We met in Professor Rudd's General Chemistry Class during the Fall of 1992. We now have three beautiful children; Zachary, Issac, and Willow.
Fall 2003- Spring 2005, I attended Marion Technical College in pursuit of yet another associate degree; this time pursing Marketing. In Fall 2005, I transfered to Franklin Univeristy in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Marketing.
On a sad note, I lost my father, Verlyn Dussel, in a car accident July 7, 2004. My heart still aches everyday.
December 2005, I joined AVON and became an AVON Certified Beauty Advisor as well as achieved Unit Leader status in March 2006. It's been a good life!

Clark, Jolyn (Gildursky) (1988-1990) — Grand Rapids, MI
I am a part time Graphic Design freelancer from my home, but spend most of my time supporting a nonprofit organization that rescues homeless cats with terminal illnesses. It is the most rewarding work I have ever done. I have been married for over nine years to a wonderfully intelligent and hilarious man, Jim. We have a beautiful daughter, Jaqi, who will be graduating in May of 2007, then attending Grand Valley State University in the fall.

Graduated NMC in 1996 with my AA and transfered to the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester NY and earned both my AAS (Photography) in 1998 and my BFA (Graphic Design) in 2000 there. I worked in Rochester after graduating as a designer at Messenger Post Newspapers and later Chase-Pitkin before moving with my husband to Kingman, Arizona in 2005 for work where I am now the Graphics Production Manager at Mohave Community College.

Prior to joining Traverse City-based Aurora Oil & Gas Corporation - the only publicly traded company headquartered in Traverse City - as head of Investor Relations, Jeff was involved in commodity risk management at DTE Energy Trading, Inc. and NiSource Inc. After receiving an Associate of Arts degree from NMC in 1994, Jeff transferred to Calvin College, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, graduating in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He completed his education in 1998 by receiving a Master's of Business Administration with Finance concentration at Regent University, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2006, Jeff was recognized as a Certified Financial Risk Manager by the Global Association of Risk Professionals. He is married with 2 young children and lives in Traverse City, Michigan.

Griffore-Wilson, Mary (1994-1997)
Took American Sign Language Program along with general ed classes in hopes of getting my Associates Degree. Left mid-term due to serious illness. Finally ready to return and wondering what happened to others from that time period. I remarried in 1998 and now have one daughter in college, one in 10th grade and one in 9th grade. Hastings, Paul (1989-93) — Rockford, IL
I am currently working as a senior engineer for Hamilton Sundstrand in Rockford, IL. I work on the Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) for the Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Boosters. The APUs provide power to the hydraulic pump that powers the cylinders that move the rocket nozzles. I am also an active skydiver/instructor with over 950 skydives. Over 250 of those jumps have been taking tandem passengers strapped to me.

My father (Stanley Linsenmayer, RN) graduated from NMC in the late 60's. I continued the tradition by receiving my Associate's Degree in 1999. I started NMC in the fall of 1982, living in the dorms. In 1984 I opened Cherryland Tux shop. After 12 years I sold my business. My dream job, when I retired, was to work for Disney-I worked at the Disney Stores for three years. Then is was 6 yrs in the insurance business. I'm currently assisting a very successful real estate agent.
Co-chairing the children's games for the NMC BBQ, for the last 15 years, is just one of the volunteer projects I work on (I must say it's my favorite). If you knew me, or knew my father I would love to hear from you. I would especially like to hear stories about my dad.

For the past 4 years I have been work for Cabela's Inc. in Sidney, Nebraska. While at Cabela's I worked as a Senior Art Director and filled the roll of Senior E-mail Marketing. Currently I have since left Cabela's and now work at Sierra Trading Post doing E-mail Marketing and Online Analytics. I still have family on Torch Lake, & in the Traverse City area and visit them often.

After ski bumming in Breckenridge for three seasons, working as an international charter Flight Attendant for two summers, getting my B.S. from Metropolitan State College of Denver, time-building in Las Vegas for two years, and flying Continental Express RJs out of Cleveland for six years, I'm flying Airbuses for Frontier Airlines out of Denver. Currently living in NE Ohio with my wife of ten years and our seven-year-old daughter and four-year-old son. Be in touch.

Wagner, Daniel P. P.E. (1989-90) — Traverse City, MI
After attending NMC for a year and a term, I transferred to Michigan Technological University and earned a B.S. in Environmental Engineering in 1994. I married the love of my life who I met while at MTU. She is also an engineer. We worked downstate for several years following graduation but moved back up north in 1999. Since moving back we have been blessed with two wonderful children. I now work for Gourdie-Fraser, a civil engineering and consulting firm here in TC as a project manager. During the last few years I designed several small infrastructure improvements for NMC which was fun. I just recently earned a M.S. in Administration from CMU through their extended learning centers. I am happy to call TC my home again!

Warne, David John (1994-7)
David J. Warne was appointed as the Math and Science student body representative in 1996, by the Math and Science faculty of NMC. Since then he completed his undergraduate studies in the field of International (Political and Economic) Relations at Michigan State University. At NMC his academic-focus culminated around the Natural Sciences, with a special self-styled blend between Geology and Geography.
We would like to remember him for the German Language Studies that he initiated and reestablish, after a brief phase out, in 1995-1996. Special thanks to his successful negotiations with former NMC President Timothy Quinn, the NMC Foreign Language Staff, and the students, who signed his petition. Thank You Very Much NMC.

I go the best in education in Michigan right here in TC. Had to work for a few folks to realize that the education I did get taught me to be independant and run my own ship. Now in the business of helping others to learn their potential in business. Thanks to all of the great instructors and friends I met at NMC and best wishes to all those new and returning students on getting a top notch education. Thanks Deb !!

After attending NMC from 1997-1999, I transfered to Central Michigan University. I graduated in 2002 with a bachelors degree in Natural Resources and Outdoor Recreation. In December of 2002, I married my wife, Becky, and we moved to Golden Colorado. During the summer I work for the Arapahoe National Forest in Idaho Springs, during the winter I manage a ski shop in Golden. I really enjoyed my time at NMC, my professors cared about my progress in thier classes and were willing to answer questions.
